CredAnchor (“we”, “us”, “our”) takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, how we store it, and the rights you have over it. We have built our data practices to be transparent — if anything here is unclear, write to us at hello@credanchor.com and we will explain it in plain language.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to audit your credit report, file disputes, and communicate with you:

  • Identity details: Name, email address, phone number, country of residence
  • Government IDs: PAN (India) or SSN (US) — required by bureaus to pull your report. These are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and transmitted over SSL/TLS.
  • Credit report data: Full bureau reports pulled from CIBIL, Experian, Equifax, CRIF Highmark (India) or TransUnion, Equifax, Experian (US/UK) with your explicit consent and OTP verification
  • Communication records: Emails, WhatsApp messages, call notes, and portal messages related to your case
  • Payment records: Transaction references for dispute fees (we do not store full card numbers or banking credentials)

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To pull your credit report from bureaus with your consent
  • To audit your report and identify errors, duplicates, and unverifiable negatives
  • To file and track disputes with credit bureaus and creditors on your behalf
  • To negotiate settlements with creditors where you instruct us to
  • To provide credit building coaching and progress tracking
  • To send you case updates, reports, and audit results

We do not use your data for:

  • Selling or sharing your information with third parties for marketing
  • Sharing your credit report with lenders, DSAs, or any third party without your explicit written consent
  • Any purpose beyond the credit repair services you have engaged us for

3. Data Storage & Security

  • Encryption: PAN/SSN and sensitive identifiers are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (SSL/TLS)
  • Access control: Only the analyst assigned to your case and the founder have access to your file
  • Bureau OTP: Report pulls require your OTP — we cannot access your bureau file without you
  • No third-party sharing: We do not share, sell, or rent your data to any third party
  • Data retention: We retain your case file for 7 years from the date of last activity, after which it is permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

4. Your Rights

  • Right to access: You can request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Right to correction: You can ask us to correct any inaccurate personal data
  • Right to deletion: You can request that we delete your data (subject to ongoing dispute requirements)
  • Right to withdraw consent: You can withdraw consent for report pulls at any time — we will stop all active work
  • Right to data portability: You can request your data in a machine-readable format

5. Regulatory Compliance

  • India: Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 — we are registered as a data fiduciary and process data only with your explicit consent
  • European Union / UK: GDPR principles — including data minimisation, lawful basis for processing, and the right to erasure
  • United States: FCRA § 609 and state-level privacy laws — we handle consumer report information under permissible purpose provisions
  • UAE: UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) — applicable to UAE-resident clients

6. Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses essential cookies for functionality only. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. If we add analytics in the future, it will be privacy-preserving (no cross-site tracking) and disclosed here before activation.

We may update this policy as our services evolve. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. For material changes, we will also notify you by email.
