Regulatory Disclosures
Last updated: July 2026
India — DPDP Act & CIC Act
CredAnchor complies with the following Indian regulations:
- Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023: We process your personal data only with explicit, freely given consent. PAN data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (SSL/TLS). You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data at any time.
- Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act, 2005: We pull credit reports only under your authorisation and with OTP verification. We dispute inaccurate information through the channels prescribed by CIBIL, Experian, Equifax, and CRIF Highmark.
- RBI Guidelines: We are not a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) and do not engage in lending. We do not collect or handle settlement funds — you pay creditors directly.
United States — FCRA & FDCPA
- Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA): We help consumers exercise their rights under § 611 (dispute procedure) and § 609 (disclosure of file contents). We do not guarantee the removal of accurate, verifiable, and timely information from credit reports.
- Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA): When negotiating with collection agencies, we ensure all communications comply with FDCPA prohibitions on harassment, false representations, and unfair practices.
- Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA): We do not charge upfront fees before services are rendered. Payment is collected per trade line only after you approve a custom dispute proposal. Our no win, no fee guarantee is provided in writing.
European Union / UK — GDPR
We follow GDPR principles for EU and UK clients, including:
- Lawful, fair, and transparent processing of personal data
- Data minimisation — we collect only what is necessary for credit repair
- Right to access, rectify, erase, and port your data
- Right to withdraw consent at any time
- No automated decision-making or profiling is performed on your data
UAE — AECB & PDPL
We work with the Al Etihad Credit Bureau (AECB) for UAE-based clients and comply with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) for data handling and processing.
